Treatment Descriptions:

Therapeutic Massage: Focuses on reducing and relieving acute or chronic pain in the body.  Therapeutic massage uses a variety of techniques to promote healing deep within the layers of muscle tissue. This treatment is commonly used for sprains/strains, carpal tunnel, nerve impingement syndromes (thoracic outlet syndrome, sciatica), spasms, whiplash, bursitis, dislocation, inflammation, fibromyalgia and much more.

Relaxation Massage: Massage has a positive impact on reducing the effects of stress on the body. Massage was found to reduce the levels of Cortisol (a hormone highly responsive to stressful situations) in the body and to decrease the client's perceived stress and anxiety. It will also increase the awareness of tense areas in the body, which will enable the client to develop a more relaxed posture and improved breathing. This massage is most beneficial with a 1 hour to 90-minute treatment.

Pregnancy Massage: Safe and nurturing during any stage of pregnancy, this massage is designed to help alleviate inflammation, stimulate circulation and relieve common aches and pains associated with pregnancy, especially in the shoulders, mid-low back, hips and legs. The primary treatment goal is to promote a healthy pregnancy by including relaxation techniques and providing a supportive environment for mommy and baby.

Infant and Child Massage: A gentle, relaxing massage that enhances the bond between parent and child. This treatment helps relieve discomfort caused by gas, constipation, chest congestion, teething and colic. It promotes relaxation for a better sleep, as well as better overall health.

For youth, physical growing pains occur because the bones are growing more rapidly than the muscles. Massage can help by gently lengthening the muscles and stretching the tissues, providing symptomatic relief of pain.

It is important that children be accompanied by his/her parent or guardian.

Reiki:

Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing technique that alleviates blocked energy, and thus decreases stress, anxiety, and pain while promoting total relaxation.  Reiki treats the whole person, mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual.  The practice is natural, safe and non-invasive. The client remains fully clothed and lays face up on a massage table.

Reflexology:

There are reflex points on the hands and feet that correspond to the organs and systems of the body. Stimulation of these areas brings balance and overall health.  Reflexology helps with any stress related conditions; anxiety, insomnia, IBS, sinusitis, allergies and much more.  It helps increase circulation, relaxation and decreases tense muscles in the neck, shoulders and back.  It is beneficial for everyone, at any age, and can be used throughout pregnancy or pre/post surgery.
